Up for your consideration is this 10" inch long tin litho battery operated toy "Universe Space Car". The finish on the body features colorful graphics with an astronaut, Saturn, etc. and chrome highlights at front, rear and sides. It is all tin with the exception of the plastic white dome and the Ivory color plastic fins at the rear. With the switch on and as the car rolls along, a multi-colored light show (greens, reds and blues) appears in the white plastic dome. The red plastic headlights glow from that same light source, as well. There is a "bump" feature that causes the car to back up and change direction when it comes in contact with a wall or an obstruction. It measures 10" inches long x 5" inches wide x 3.75" inches to top of dome. It requires two (2) size C batteries (not included). It is marked made in China and numbered 446 ME 089 underneath where you will also find the on/off switch. The photos tell the story pretty well and we tried to get a good photo of the light show in the dark, however the effect is much better live and in person. The condition is VERY GOOD with the following notes: There are no dents, dings or major scratches, however, there are some very tiny, scattered paint touch ups that one has to look carefully to even see. There is a very tiny bit of rust in the battery compartment, but nothing major and the car works fine. The tin battery compartment has come lose from the internal tabs holding it snug in place, but this does not affect the operation at all. It is impossible to place the compartment back on the tabs without taking the car apart, so I have let it be. The switch is sensitive, but generally works on the first try.
