This one measures in at 30 inches long x 17 inches tall. It is double sided, enameled on heavy metal. For all practical purposes, it is in MINT condition. The only flaws are so tiny and insignificant that it is hardly worth mentioning, but we will anyway. The sign has two grommets in at the top, and one of them has a slight dent (see detail photo). The two holes at the bottom do not have grommets, but there is just a tiny bit of rust inside the hole (see detail photo). There are a few scattered black specks at the left edge on one side (see detail photo). We tried to remove them, but they did not bulge and we don’t want to force the issue. So, you can see why we say, almost MINT. The age of this sign is not known to us. We have seen this version before, advertised as being from the 1940s, but we have nothing to prove that. Some of the old advertising porcelain signs are reproduced, but generally not this large. Production was ceased on most porcelain signs by the 1960s. Our guess is that this sign is of that vintage, but never saw any service, so it looks like new. We have priced it based on what a reproduction of this size wold sell for today. If it is vintage, as we feel it is, then this is a killer deal (the one we saw advertised as 1940s was identical and the asking price was $895). This is a super advertising-sign .
