This is one of the funniest things we have run across in awhile. It is an in-store display for bubble gum cigars. The box is full, containing 24 unopened, individually sealed, bubble gum cigars, that are advertised at 5 cents each. The closed box measures 8 inches long x 4-5/8 inches wide x 1 inch deep. It includes a lid and a pop up point-of-purchase display sign. The cigars are 4-1/4 inches long. Each cigar has a label that reads, "El Bubble Deluxe, win with HHH". Obviously, a campaign promotional item when he ran for president against Nixon in 1968. The lid of the box reads, "Swell Presidential Favorites, Bubble Gum Cigars". The display sign shows a photo of Humphrey and reads, "Win with HHH". Condition: The box is VERY FINE, showing only faint wear at edges, and a tiny tear in the back. The cigars are in VERY GOOD condition, although they are starting to show age, with a little discoloration . . . let's just say you wouldn't want to chew one at this point.
